Principal's Message

Parents, Guardians, and Newport Community,  

I am honored to serve as the principal at Newport Primary School. I am a graduate of Newport Independent Schools and love this community. Having worked a total of 18 years in the Newport District, I am now entering my seventh full year as principal. I am proud of the improvements we have made in the areas of school culture, safety, and academic progress.   

Our mission at Newport Primary is to Nurture, Prepare, and Support our students. At the forefront of our mission is to provide our students with strong instruction to ensure they are proficient in reading and math before they enter the third grade. We will continue to set high expectations for our students, and we have high expectations of teachers and staff to help all NPS students learn and grow into well-rounded citizens.    

We are excited for another great school year at NPS!
